On Going Unnoticed Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDE FFGG HIJJ| As vain to raise a voice as a sigh | A |
| In the tumult of free leaves on high | A |
| What are you in the shadow of trees | B |
| Engaged up there with the light and breeze | B |
| - | |
| Less than the coral root you know | C |
| That is content with the daylight low | C |
| And has no leaves at all of its own | D |
| Whose spotted flowers hang meanly down | E |
| - | |
| You grasp the bark by a rugged pleat | F |
| And look up small from the forest's feet | F |
| The only leaf it drops goes wide | G |
| Your name not written on either side | G |
| - | |
| You linger your little hour and are gone | H |
| And still the wood sweep leafily on | I |
| Not even missing the coral root flower | J |
| You took as a trophy of the hour | J |
