Come In Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIH BJKJ LKMK

As I came to the edge of the woodsA
Thrush music harkB
Now if it was dusk outsideC
Inside it was darkB
-
Too dark in the woods for a birdD
By sleight of wingE
To better its perch for the nightF
Though it still could singE
-
The last of the light of the sunG
That had died in the westH
Still lived for one song moreI
In a thrush's breastH
-
Far in the pillared darkB
Thrush music wentJ
Almost like a call to come inK
To the dark and lamentJ
-
But no I was out for starsL
I would not come inK
I meant not even if askedM
And I hadn't beenK
