Acceptance Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFFG| When the spent sun throws up its rays on cloud | A |
| And goes down burning into the gulf below | B |
| No voice in nature is heard to cry aloud | A |
| At what has happened Birds at least must know | B |
| It is the change to darkness in the sky | C |
| Murmuring something quiet in her breast | D |
| One bird begins to close a faded eye | C |
| Or overtaken too far from his nest | D |
| Hurrying low above the grove some waif | E |
| Swoops just in time to his remembered tree | F |
| At most he thinks or twitters softly 'Safe | E |
| Now let the night be dark for all of me | F |
| Let the night bee too dark for me to see | F |
| Into the future Let what will be be ' | G |
