When I Am Only I Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIH JKLK MNON

When I am only IA
The secret battle groundB
Of world and will whereinC
Self is so strictly boundB
-
Then am I condemnedD
Then can I understandE
The heart crumbling to dustF
And the eyes stopt with sandE
-
But when self fallen asleepG
Quickens through all my veinsH
The entrancing light and streamI
The rivers and the rainsH
-
Though to the wondrous earthJ
The tendril senses clingK
And amid living leavesL
I as a bird singK
-
The breath comes of a worldM
Beyond all human moanN
There I am lost and thereO
I am come into mine ownN
