To Time Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACCB DEDAAE DFDAAF ABADDG

Time Time who choosestA
All in the end wellB
Who severely refusestA
Fames upon trumpets blownC
Loud for a day and aloneC
Makest truth to excelB
-
Shadow of God slowlyD
Gathering words longE
Scorned to make them holyD
And deeds like stars brightA
That none perceived in the lightA
Lifting the weak to be strongE
-
Shall I not praise theeD
Thou just judge Yet OF
What so long stays theeD
Why must thy feet haltA
While our tears grow saltA
And our old hopes goF
-
Beauty is throned at lastA
Truth rings falsehood's knellB
But our strength our joy is pastA
While our hearts wait theeD
Time Time I hate theeD
Hate thee and rebelG
