Tintagel Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABABCDC EFEFGHAGIH

Low is laid Arthur's headA
Unknown earth above him moundedA
By him sleep his splendid knightsB
With whose names the world resoundedA
Ruined glories flown delightsB
Sunk 'mid rumours of old warsC
Where they revelled deep they sleepD
By the wild Atlantic shoresC
-
On Tintagel's fortressed wallsE
Proudly built the loud sea scorningF
Pale the moving moonlight fallsE
Through their rents the wind goes mourningF
See ye Knights your ancient homeG
Chafed and spoiled and fallen asunderH
Hear ye now as then of oldA
Waters rolled and wrath of foamG
Where the waves beneath your gravesI
Snow themselves abroad in thunderH
