| Climb misery's blind paths to the peak Despair | A |
| Not only martyr'd flesh but the mind bleeds | D |
| There's nothing left to call inhuman so | E |
| Defaced is man's name by the things men do | F |
| O worse yet worse if the world seeing this | G |
| The hideous spawn of misbegotten creeds | D |
| Grow used drugged deadened and accept the abyss | G |
| - | |
| There is still splendour the sea tells of it | H |
| From far shores and where murder's made to lurk | I |
| In the clean waters there men go to work | I |
| Simply upon their daily business knit | H |
| Together in one cause they think no whit | H |
| Of glory enough that they are men To those | J |
| Who live by terror calmly they oppose | J |
| What wills dares and despises to submit | H |
| And the air tells of it out of the eye's ken | K |
| Wings range and soar a symbol of the free | L |
| In the same cause outspeeding the swift wind | M |
| Millions of spirits bear them company | L |
| This is the splendour in the souls of men | K |
| Which flames against that treason to mankind | M |
