The Sun Goes Down, On Other Lands To Shine Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBBAA CDEECC

The sun goes down on other lands to shineA
I long to keep him but he will not stayB
Only in fancy can I wing my wayB
To overtake him to recatch each rayB
Warmer and warmer till at last is mineA
In fancy that loved gaze that light divineA
-
Now close the dewy flowers that morn's first peepC
To sunshine opened and I too must closeD
My leaves up and in silence and reposeE
Baptize my spirit See the last gleam goesE
Now is it time neither to joy nor weepC
Only to lay the head down and to sleepC
