The Shrines Of Old Are Broken Down Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDE FGFGHH

The shrines of old are broken downA
The faiths that knelt at them are deadB
Nothing's strange and nought unknownC
All's been done and all been saidB
Tired of knowledge now we sighD
For a little mysteryE
-
Yet howsoever science delvesF
A few things still unplumbed remainG
We know all things save ourselvesF
Cannot will our joy or painG
Mysteries our hearts enthralH
And love's the strangest of them allH
