The Seven Isles Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFGF HIHJ

I dream of western waters and of the Seven IslesA
And of mornings when they appearB
Flowering out of the mist on a sea of smilesA
Warm and familiar and nearB
-
Then O how changed fugitive faint remoteC
In another world than oursD
Vanishing apparitions they seemed to floatC
Shadows of shadowy powersD
-
Effaced at last as if they had never beenE
Drowned in the empty bayF
On solitary water was nothing to be seenG
But a sail pale on the grayF
-
And I wonder O Isles reappearing and lost without signH
In the solitude of the seasI
Are the songs of the Immortals more divineH
Or their magical silencesJ
