The Eyes Of Youth Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIEJKLMNOPQ

Time buys no wisdom like the eyes of youthA
Though youth itself be blinded with delightB
As a buoyant swimmer by the bursting sprayC
Of the resplendent surge and know not yetD
The marvel of its own heart's vision blurredE
By lovely follies dancing in the sunF
I heard a skylark scaling the spring airG
As slow I climbed the misty rough hill sideH
He poured the wordless wonder of his joyI
Into the empty sky was never wordE
Of human language held a joy so pureJ
But it was I who knew it Though my feetK
Stayed on the plodded earth and in the mistL
Yet I could breathe float mount and sing with himM
The unweariable singer I could batheN
In the beyond of blue and know the roundO
Of sea beneath me and the sun aboveP
He gave of what he knew not soaring throatQ
