I heard a skylark scaling the spring air | G |
As slow I climbed the misty rough hill side | H |
He poured the wordless wonder of his joy | I |
Into the empty sky was never word | E |
Of human language held a joy so pure | J |
But it was I who knew it Though my feet | K |
Stayed on the plodded earth and in the mist | L |
Yet I could breathe float mount and sing with him | M |
The unweariable singer I could bathe | N |
In the beyond of blue and know the round | O |
Of sea beneath me and the sun above | P |
He gave of what he knew not soaring throat | Q |
