Stonehenge Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIH JKLK MJNB OPPP DLQL

Gaunt on the cloudy plainA
Stand the great StonesB
Dwarfed in the vast reachC
Of a sky that ownsB
-
All the measure of earthD
Within its cloud hung caveE
Dumb stands the CircleF
As on a God's graveE
-
But clattering with horsesG
Up from the valleyH
With horses and horsemenI
At a trot gailyH
-
Dragging the limbered gunsJ
Youth comes ridingK
Easy sits mettlesomeL
Horses bestridingK
-
Fast come the twinkling hoofsM
Light wheels and gunsJ
Invading the uplandN
And sweep past the StonesB
-
Giant those shapes nowO
Over them towerP
Time's dark statureP
Over Youth's fleet hourP
-
Ribs of dismemoried EarthD
Guard what you mayL
The Immortals alsoQ
Pass nor stayL
