Solitude Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFDGHIDDJDKLDMNO DPQRDSTU

The stag that lifted up his kingly headA
Upon the silent mountains and from farB
Beneath him heard the confident harsh cryC
Of men invading his old solitudesD
Then bounding over the rough slopes has climbedE
By dancing brooks remoter ranges thickF
With forests moaning in the cloudy windsD
Of desolate November nor has stayedG
Till on the utmost craggy ledge amongH
Wet boughs with antlers dripping from the mistI
And with sweat darkened quivering coat he snuffsD
Wide nostrilled the wild air where motionlessD
He stands at last what shudder as of joyJ
Deeply to breathe that native lonelinessD
Possesses him From reddened oaks aroundK
Lost leaves are torn innumerably and whirledL
Fast as from hearts of men their fearful hopesD
Into the drizzling gulf he hears beyondM
From cliffs that dimly tower in abruptN
Strange precipices the world ancient roarO
Of headlong torrents now the vapour rollsD
Blank over all now rending it a gustP
Reveals by golden glimpses the pale streamQ
Poured in a trembling pillar at whose footR
The snowy seethe shoots forward and recoilsD
For one tumultuous moment then againS
Arches into one pure unfretted waveT
And sends a voice in splendour down the gorgeU
