Pain Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFFGGDHIIAA JJ

Find me out a fortress findA
Such a mind within the mindA
As can gather to its sourceB
All of life's inveterate forceB
Find the hard and secret cellC
In my body's citadelC
Iron ribbed from suck and drainD
Of the clutching monster PainD
Pain the formless alien willE
That seeks me out that strives to drillE
Through shielding thought and barricadeF
Of all the strength my will has madeF
That singles me and searches throughG
The sharp sense I am narrowed toG
And ever as the bond I strainD
Thrusts me home to flesh againH
Estranging me from earth to beI
One fierce throb of identityI
Yet there's fibre in the mindA
I shall find I shall findA
To resist and to defyJ
All the world that is not IJ
