May Evening Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGHGH IJIJKFKF

So late the rustling shower was heardA
Yet now the a ry west is stillB
The wet leaves flash and lightly stirredA
Great drops out of the lilac spillB
Peacefully blown the ashen cloudsC
Uncurtain height on height of skyD
Here as I wander beauty crowdsC
In freshness keen upon my eyeD
-
Now the shorn turf a glowing greenE
Takes in the massy cedar shadeF
And through the poplar's trembling screenE
Fires of the evening blush and fadeF
Each way my marvelling senses feelG
Swift odour light and luminous hueH
Of leaf and flower upon them stealG
The songs of birds pierce my heart throughH
-
The tulip clear like yellow flameI
Burns upward from the gloomy mouldJ
As though for passion forth they cameI
Red hearts of peonies unfoldJ
And perfumes tender sweet intenseK
Enter me delicate as a bladeF
The lilac odour wounds my senseK
Of the rich rose I am afraidF
