Kennack Sands Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBCDEAEFFGHIIJKLML KMNNOPQQRP

On Kennack Sands the sunA
Shines and the fresh wind blowsB
Moulding pale banks anewC
Where the sea holly growsB
Waters softly blueC
And exquisitely clearD
Meet the o'er arching skyE
O'er them the breezes runA
There may'st thou idly lieE
And still find new delightsF
Watching the gulls' white flightsF
Above that lonely placeG
Listen nor ever hearH
A single human soundI
To spoil the free profoundI
Aerial quietnessJ
But when thou'rt gone the nightK
On Kennack comes and soonL
Lovely beyond dreamsM
Arises the round moonL
In whose trembling lightK
The rough splendour gleamsM
Of the crested seaN
Ah could'st thou there then beN
But mortal ears can hear notO
What those pale sands hear thenP
Sounds not of mortal birthQ
Laughter and dance and mirthQ
Of the golden haired sea fairiesR
Mermaidens and mermenP
