In Misty Blue Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACDCD EFFEECGCG HIIHHJKJK LMNOLPDPD

In misty blue the lark is heardA
Above the silent homes of menB
The bright eyed thrush the little wrenB
The yellow billed sweet voiced blackbirdA
Mid sallow blossoms blond as curdA
Or silver oak boughs carollingC
With happy throat from tree to treeD
Sing into light this morn of springC
That sang my dear love home to meD
-
Be starry buds of clustered whiteE
Around the dark waves of her hairF
The young fresh glory you prepareF
Is like my ever fresh delightE
When she comes shining on my sightE
With meeting eyes with such a cheekC
As colours fair like flushing tipsG
Of shoots and music ere she speakC
Lies in the wonder of her lipsG
-
Airs of the morning breathe aboutH
Keen faint scents of the wild wood sideI
From thickets where primroses hideI
Mid the brown leaves of winter's routH
Chestnut and willow beacon outH
For joy of her from far and nighJ
Your English green on English hillsK
Above her head song quivering skyJ
And at her feet the daffodilsK
-
Because she breathed the world was moreL
And breath a finer soul to useM
And life held lovelier hopes to chooseN
But O to day my heart brims o'erO
Earth glows as from a kindled coreL
Like shadows of diviner thingsP
Are hill and cloud and flower and treeD
A splendour that is hers and spring'sP
The day my love came home to meD
