Grief Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCADCDB EFGHEGHBEB

Grief is like a childA
Led with relentless handB
By a strange nurse whose faceC
Seems never to have smiledA
Whose onward gaze severeD
Slackens not nor her paceC
Nor that child's faltering fearD
Stoops she to understandB
-
So strides the world while griefE
Unwilling is borne onF
With ever lingering mindG
Through the strange days aloneH
Oh like a fluttering leafE
On the ways of the strong windG
Or pebbles helpless thrownH
By night on a wild strandB
Lost are the thoughts of griefE
That none can understandB
