Going West Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDAEFFGCHIJKLMNLJO NPQPQ

Just as I cameA
Into the empty westward facing roomB
A sudden gust blew wideC
The tall window at onceD
A shock of sudden light vibrating like a flameA
Entered as if it were the wind's bright spiritE
Stealing to me upon some secret questF
The wonder of the WestF
Burst open under dark and rushing cloudG
That rained illumined drops it glorifiedC
Each corner where so dazzlingly it struckH
The shadows cowered the brilliance overflowedI
As suddenly all fadedJ
Wet wild air blew inK
At the idly swinging doorL
Stormily crumpled fallen shreds of leavesM
Dried scarlet and burnt yellow and ashy brownN
They fluttered in like fears and blew across the floorL
And I to the heart invadedJ
Felt as that wild light palpitated through meO
And died in a moment downN
Exalted by a visionary fearP
That from the light more than the shadow fellQ
A divination of splendid spirits nearP
Of glorious parting and of great farewellQ
