First Day Of Winter Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CACA

Like the bloom on a grape is the evening airA
And a first faint frost the wind has boundB
Yet the fear of his breath avails to scareA
The withered leaves on the cold groundB
-
For they huddle and whisper in phantom throngsC
I hear them beneath the branches bareA
We danced with the Wind we sang his songsC
Now he pursues us we know not whereA
