Fears Of Love Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGHGH

Love grasps my heart in a netA
Like the strong roots of a flowerB
So surely his root is setA
In my spirit to hold me with powerB
Yet to night O forgive me DearC
I am troubled my heart tremblesD
There flutters within me a fearC
That Love in vain dissemblesD
-
O is it that even our trustE
So strongly plantedF
How steadfast soever mustE
By its own fear be hauntedF
As the heart must beat in the breastG
If the pulse to its life be trueH
Love must tremble and throb in his nestG
To be sure of his life blood anewH
