English Earth Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHDH

As over English earth I gazeA
Bare down deep lane and coppice crownedB
Green hill and distance lost in blueC
Horizon of this homely groundB
-
A light that glows as from withinD
Seems glorifying leaf and grassE
And every simple wayside flowerF
That knows not how to say AlasE
-
O Light by which we live and moveG
Shine through us now one living wholeH
With dear earth Arm us from withinD
For this last Battle of the SoulH
