Awakening Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHCH

Out of first sleep as they awokeA
The moon had stolen upon her faceB
It seemed that they had opened eyesC
New on another world and placeB
-
The eyes of each the other soughtD
Wondering no sound was in the nightE
On them the very soul of peaceF
Gazed in that spiritual lightE
-
Beyond the reign of hurt and painG
Beyond the boundaries of deathH
Each seemed with their awaking sighsC
To breathe at last their native breathH
