A Daffodil Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB AADA EAFA GBHB AIJI KLMN AOPO QRSR BTUT AVWV XYZY

Pure throated FlowerA
Smelling of SpringB
Shaped beyond art'sC
ImaginingB
-
Fathomless colourA
Breathed as an etherA
Of flame and of stillnessD
Melted togetherA
-
Soul of the sun's beamE
Changed to fairyA
Flesh so delicateF
Poised and airyA
-
I think of my own kindG
Hardly winningB
A thousand battlesH
For joy's beginningB
-
Victory bloodyA
And with evil sharedI
Splendour soiledJ
And greatness snaredI
-
Truth concededK
Or won by halvesL
Pitiful soresM
And sorrier salvesN
-
Blind authorityA
Treading like oxen's heelsO
All that sees clearestP
All that most feelsO
-
But you are absoluteQ
Follow who canR
As a commandmentS
Of God to manR
-
Straight you springB
And whole you spendT
And fall upon fruitful earthU
Clean to the endT
-
O to be pureA
As a single senseV
Keen as scornW
As love intenseV
-
To live in the lightX
And to die in a deedY
That is faith's AmenZ
And has sown its seedY
