The Voice Of Robert Desnos Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDDDEFDDDDDDDGDDDH IIIGJEFDKLMMNFCODPFD PFQDFFFDFFDRFMDSDFTF U CVW

So like a flower and a current of airA
the flow of water fleeting shadowsB
the smile glimpsed at midnight this excellent eveningC
so like every joy and every sadnessD
it is the midnight past lifting its naked body above belfries and poplarsD
I call to me those lost in the fieldsD
old skeletons young oaks cut downE
scraps of cloth rotting on the ground and linen drying in farm countryF
I call tornadoes and hurricanesD
storms typhoons cyclonesD
tidal wavesD
earthquakesD
I call the smoke of volcanoes and the smoke of cigarettesD
the rings of smoke from expensive cigarsD
I call lovers and loved onesD
I call the living and the deadG
I call gravediggers I call assassinsD
I call hangmen pilots bricklayers architectsD
assassinsD
I call the fleshH
I call the one I loveI
I call the one I loveI
I call the one I loveI
the jubilant midnight unfolds its satin wings and perches on my bedG
the belfries and the poplars bend to my wishJ
the former collapse the latter bow downE
those lost in the fields are found in finding meF
the old skeletons are revived by my voiceD
the young oaks cut down are covered with foliageK
the scraps of cloth rotting on the ground and in the earthL
snap to at the sound of my voice like a flag of rebellionM
the linen drying in farm country clothes adorable womenM
whom I do not adoreN
who come to meF
obeying my voice adoringC
tornadoes revolve in my mouthO
hurricanes if it is possible redden my lipsD
storms roar at my feetP
typhoons if it is possible ruffle meF
I get drunken kisses from the cyclonesD
the tidal waves come to die at my feetP
the earthquakes do not shake me but fade completelyF
at my commandQ
the smoke of volcanoes clothes me with its vaporsD
and the smoke of cigarettes perfumes meF
and the rings of cigar smoke crown meF
loves and love so long hunted find refuge in meF
lovers listen to my voiceD
the living and the dead yield to me and salute meF
the former coldly the latter warmlyF
the gravediggers abandon the hardly dug gravesD
and declare that I alone may command their nightly workR
the assassins greet meF
the hangmen invoke the revolutionM
invoke my voiceD
invoke my nameS
the pilots are guided by my eyesD
the bricklayers are dizzied listening to meF
the architects leave for the desertT
the assassins bless meF
flesh trembles when I callU
-
the one I love is not listeningC
the one I love does not hearV
the one I love does not answerW
