Cascade Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGH ICJK LMNO

What sort of arrow split the sky and this rockA
It's quivering spreading like a peacock's fanB
Like the mist around the shaft and knot less feathersC
Of a comet come to nest at midnightD
-
How blood surges from the gaping woundE
Lips already silencing murmur and cryF
One solemn finger holds back time confusingG
The witness of the eyes where the deed is writtenH
-
Silence We still know the passwordsI
Lost sentinels far from the watch firesC
We smell the odor of honeysuckle and surfJ
Rising in the dark shadowsK
-
Distance let dawn leap the void at lastL
And a single beam of light make a rainbow on the waterM
Its quiver full of reedsN
Sign of the return of archers and patriotic songsO
