Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDCECFGHG EICIJKLKF MNGOPOPOFGHG

If doughty deeds my lady pleaseA
Right soon I'll mount my steedB
And strong his arm and fast his seatC
That bears frae me the meedC
I'll wear thy colours in my capD
Thy picture in my heartC
And he that bends not to thine eyeE
Shall rue it to his smartC
Then tell me how to woo thee LoveF
O tell me how to woo theeG
For thy dear sake nae care I'll takeH
Tho' ne'er another trow meG
-
If gay attire delight thine eyeE
I'll dight me in arrayI
I'll tend thy chamber door all nightC
And squire thee all the dayI
If sweetest sounds can win thine earJ
These sounds I'll strive to catchK
Thy voice I'll steal to woo thysel'L
That voice that nane can matchK
Then tell me how to woo thee LoveF
-
But if fond love thy heart can gainM
I never broke a vowN
Nae maiden lays her skaith to meG
I never loved but youO
For you alone I ride the ringP
For you I wear the blueO
For you alone I strive to singP
O tell me how to wooO
Then tell me how to woo thee LoveF
O tell me how to woo theeG
For thy dear sake nae care I'll takeH
Tho' ne'er another trow meG
