Robert Bontine Cunninghame Graham (24 May 1852 – 20 March 1936) was a Scottish politician, writer, journalist and adventurer. W R B Cunninghame Graham: The poem was written by Robert Graham (later Cunninghame Graham) of Gartmore (1735-1797), who was briefly a Whig MP for Stirlingshire, but the photo is of his far more famous 3 x great-grandson, Robert Bontine Cunninghame Graham (1852-1936) who, though a prolific author, never wrote any poetry.
