Rosy Hannah Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFE GHGHIDID JKJKLMNM

A Spring o'erhung with many a flow'rA
The grey sand dancing in its bedB
Embank'd beneath a Hawthorn bowerC
Sent forth its waters near my headB
A rosy Lass approach'd my viewD
I caught her blue eye's modest beamE
The stranger nodded 'How d'ye do 'F
And leap'd across the infant streamE
-
The water heedless pass'd awayG
With me her glowing image stay'dH
I strove from that auspicious dayG
To meet and bless the lovely MaidH
I met her where beneath our feetI
Through downy Moss the Wild Thyme grewD
Nor Moss elastic flow'rs though sweetI
Match'd Hannah's cheek of rosy hueD
-
I met her where the dark Woods waveJ
And shaded verdure skirts the plainK
And when the pale Moon rising gaveJ
New glories to her cloudy trainK
From her sweet Cot upon the MoorL
Our plighted vows to Heaven are flownM
Truth made me welcome at her doorN
And rosy Hannah is my ownM
