Hunting Song Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCCB DEFGG HHBIIB JJBKLB

Ye darksome Woods where Echo dwellsA
Where every bud with freedom swellsA
To meet the glorious dayB
The morning breaks again rejoiceC
And with old Ringwood's well known voiceC
Bid tuneful Echo playB
-
We come ye Groves ye Hills we comeD
The vagrant Fox shall hear his doomE
And dread our jovial trainF
The shrill Horn sounds the courser fliesG
While every Sportsman joyful criesG
'There's Ringwood's voice again '-
-
Ye Meadows hail the coming throngH
Ye peaceful Streams that wind alongH
Repeat the Hark awayB
Far o'er the Downs ye Gales that sweepI
The daring Oak that crowns the steepI
The roaring peal conveyB
-
The chiming notes of chearful HoundsJ
Hark how the hollow Dale resoundsJ
The sunny Hills how gayB
But where's the note brave Dog like thineK
Then urge the Steed the chorus joinL
'Tis Ringwood leads the wayB
