The Paths Of Rashness Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCC DDEEFF GGHHII

Up to the sky the birdman flewA
And looped some loops that were bold and newA
The people marvelled at nerve so greatB
And gasped or cheered as he tempted fateB
More daring each day than the day beforeC
Till the birdman fell and arose no moreC
-
The bandit bragged of his daylight crimesD
And said I'm the wonder of modern timesD
Bolder and bolder his thefts becameE
And the people shook when they heard his nameE
He boasted I'm one that they'll never getF
But he jollied himself into JolietF
-
Well son I suppose you would be admiredG
For the valorous habit that you've acquiredG
Of rushing at each little girl you meetH
And hugging her tight in the public streetH
But the day will come I have not a doubtI
When you'll stagger home with an eye scratched outI
