Taste Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCC DDEEFF

I can't understand why you pass up the toysA
That Santa considered just right for small boysA
I can't understand why you turn up your noseB
At dogs hobby horses and treasures like thoseB
And play a whole hour sometimes longer than thatC
With a thing as prosaic as daddy's old hatC
-
The tables and shelves have been loaded for youD
With volumes of pictures they're pretty ones tooD
Of birds beasts and fishes and old Mother GooseE
Repines in a corner and feels like the deuceE
While you on the floor quite contentedly lookF
At page after page of the telephone bookF
