His Imagination Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCC DDEEFG HHIIEE

One thing that's yours my little childA
Your poor old dad is simply wildA
To own It's not a book or toyB
It's your imagination boyB
If I possessed it what a timeC
I'd have nor need to spend a dimeC
-
I wish that I could get astrideD
A broom and have a horse to rideD
Or climb into the swing and beE
A sailor on the deep blue seaE
Or b'lieve a chair a choo choo trainF
Bound anywhere and back againG
-
If I could ride as fast and farH
On ship or horse in train or carH
As you at small expense or noneI
If I could have one half your funI
And do the things that you do freeE
I'd give them back my salaryE
