Prelude Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHI JKLMNOP QQ

How could I love you moreA
I would give upB
Even that beauty I have loved too wellC
That I might love you betterD
Alas how poor the gifts that lovers giveE
I can but give you of my flesh and strengthF
I can but give you these few passing daysG
And passionate words that since our speech beganH
All lovers whisper in all ladies' earsI
-
I try to think of some one lovely giftJ
No lover yet in all the world has foundK
I think If the cold sombre godsL
Were hot with love as I amM
Could they not endow you with a starN
And fix bright youth for ever in your limbsO
Could they not give you all things that I lackP
-
You should have loved a god I am but dustQ
Yet no god loves as loves this poor frail dustQ
