which held their listeners spellbound Every night | A |
among the fires men chanted to the beat | G |
of stick and boomerangs and clap of hands | E |
or drone and boom of didgeridoo the songs | E |
rising and falling trailing quickening | H |
while eyes gleamed bright through smoke drift bodies shone | I |
and dusked in fitful glow amid the shadows | E |
