Captain William Bligh Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBBBBBB CDECDE

Look for an iron soul to bear the piledA
anathema of time to take withoutB
abjectness scorn of every human routB
colossal though by all the world defiledB
Discovering such in Bligh instruct your childB
in burning shame that one man walled aboutB
with rigid purpose so should feel the floutB
of History s rogues through Legend running wildB
-
The suffering soul of Bligh bends not to shameC
but as sand heavy hills wait greening grassD
hoists high the lie till truth shall square the scoreE
His soul is innocent Watch It will flameC
superb when gritty storms of falsehood passD
and by humanity will tower the moreE
