It's a year nowA
I never did wish for anythingB
But an insurmountable desire to seeC
And embrace you againD
There have been a lot I do wish to tell YouE
A lot I do yearn for you to tell meC
Stories and tales Of the not so far away landF
Where mortal eyes haven't seenG
So much I do want to hear from YouE
Of where you have gone beyondH
Stories of the life out thereI
Father if your voice could be heard againD
What a rejuvenation of soul that would beC
-
You've not gone as to not be with usJ
Your family on this day and days aside todayK
Have in memorial bestowed its allL
To Reverencing theeC
You have not left us to our ownM
You are with us still from where you areN
I've become popular as your face is revealed in mineO
Old and small have known me to beC
The Son of Raymond Dey GoP
As they call YouE
Symbolic of your easy way of lifeQ
When i walk the roads leading to the king's palaceJ
Or the paths to the village squaresR
And neighbouring villagesS
I meet innumerable encomium of your goodnessJ
From the lips of passersbyC
I hear and I'm overwhelmed at thy beingB
When i tread solelyC
On roads that leads to the streamT
Or the busy paths of the marketsU
I've been shown roads of thy treadingsU
Places of thy restings and temporary dwellingsU
I've met dignitaries home and abroadV
Those i know not of welcome me with glad tidingsU
You really are a rare gem of extraordinary featsU
I'm honoured to have had a father and youE
Your name i will re echoP
That children unborn will knowP
A Life So Lived As The Beauty Of ThineO
I will carry on thy name and the testimonies of thy beingB
To generations to comeW
You made a man out of meC
I be that man you want to seeC
Your footpaths I do seeC
Never to decline or lose track of itX
A walkway to inevitable goodness much to my embraceU
You really have left on earth in the land on the airI
Signs of thy existenceU
The legacies you've left are indelible and matchlessU
I'm following suit your footstepsU
That has made the world acclaim your godly goodnessU
-
Father It's as though it were yesterdayK
It's Still fresh the matchless memoriesU
Of thy beingB
Having left without closing the doorY
A sudden unexpected farewellZ
That got no response from the family you leftA2
As we were in the hands ofB2
Morpheus whilst thou departestA2
You left us in shock stillC2
Not believing you've bade us a final farewellZ
I still find myself peeping through the windowA2
For signs of thy comingB
I still wait anxiously glued to the chairI
Behind the doorY
Waiting for a knock at the doorY
Waiting to hear sounds of thy footstepsU
You are coming aren't youE
My more than a billion times questionsU
Awaiting response from youE
In my dreams told and untoldA2
My hands held up in coldness of doubtA2
Could it really be RealD2
You Held My HandsU
From the narrow golden treasured aisleE2
From whence you walked towards meC
I couldn't behold my eyesU
Death actually never killed YouE
How impuissant you are deathF2
Even though some call you mightyC
You Smiled So EbullientlyE2
And resuscitating my being to glamourG2
With Ecstasy Of a Genuine Utopian LifeQ
An Elysianic Life moderated by DivinityC
Before you I stood immortalisedC
I noticed tears from your eyesU
Saying the words I've missed you sonH2
But I'm more coveredC
with the joy of seeing you againD
Yet the gushing stream of tears from my eyesU
Could tell many tales in no short a whileE2
How much I've missed youE
Your words the exact same words I recallE2
Wherewith I'm toldC
I'm going to be with You My SonH2
I'll Be Your SupportC
Repeating the linesU
I'm with you stillE2
There I'm captured into realityC
Father is it youE
My son I'm sorry I left just like thatC
Never knew it's going to beC
A journey beyond my controlE2
I know you've sufferedC
Mother awaits your returnI2
My brothers and sisters wait in earnest's bowelE2
For thy returnI2
I know all of your pains my sonH2
Show your siblings the character of my beingB
To thy mother provoke her not to angerG2
Love her endlessly like I loved herG2
His words sunk into meC
I Couldn't tell if there were reasonsU
To cry incessantlyC
Seeing him in an immaculate apparelE2
Spotless with no indelible stains of unrighteousnessU
The Vision QuenchJ2
A light outshone my eyesU
You were gone again at the blink of an eyeK2
But thy words re echoed stillE2
I will always be with you my sonH2
Thy words were thunderous and pacifyingB
And I'm startled whether to quenchJ2
The fire already ignited by thy presenceU
Thy presence indeed cannot be quenchedC
It lives and dies with me wherever I goB
