| Of cold and wretchedness all lines all winds | O |
| End in this whirlpool I at last discover | P |

| And it is meaningless In the child's bed | Q |
| After the night's voyage in that warm world | R |
| Where people work and suffer for the end | S |
| That crowns the pain mdash in that Cloud Cuckoo Land | T |

| I reached my North and it had meaning | G |
| Here at the actual pole of my existence | I |
| Where all that I have done is meaningless | U |
| Where I die or live by accident alone mdash | V |

| Crowd me out of the ignorant darkness | U |
