Toast To Dayton Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABACAC DEDFGHGH

Love of home sublimest passionA
That the human heart can knowB
Changeless still though fate and fashionA
Rise and fall and ebb and flowB
To the glory of our nationA
To the welfare of our stateC
Let us all with venerationA
Every effort consecrateC
-
And our city shall we fail herD
Or desert her gracious causeE
Nay with loyalty we hail herD
And revere her righteous lawsF
She shall ever claim our dutyG
For she shines the brightest gemH
That has ever decked with beautyG
Dear Ohio's diademH
