To An Ingrate Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA CDDD EFFE GHHD

This is to day a golden summer's dayA
And yet and yetB
My vengeful soul will not forgetB
The past forever now forgot you sayA
-
From that half height where I had sadly climbedC
I stretched my handD
I lone in all that landD
Down there where helpless you were limedD
-
Our fingers clasped and dragging me a paceE
You struggled upF
It is a bitter CupF
That now for naught you turn away your faceE
-
I shall remember this for aye and ayeG
Whate'er may comeH
Although my lips are dumbH
My spirit holds you to that yesterdayD
