The Pool Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC ADED AFAF

By the pool that I see in my dreams dear loveA
I have sat with you time and againB
And listened beneath the dank leaves dear loveA
To the sibilant sound of the rainC
-
And the pool it is silvery bright dear loveA
And as pure as the heart of a maidD
As sparkling and dimpling it darkles and shinesE
In the depths of the heart of the gladeD
-
But oh I 've a wish in my soul dear loveA
The wish of a dreamer it seemsF
That I might wash free of my sins dear loveA
In the pool that I see in my dreamsF
