Rhyme Scheme: ABBA CDDC

He sang of life serenely sweetA
With now and then a deeper noteB
From some high peak nigh yet remoteB
He voiced the world's absorbing beatA
-
He sang of love when earth was youngC
And Love itself was in his laysD
But ah the world it turned to praiseD
A jingle in a broken tongueC
