The Chase Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABACDC

The wind told the little leaves to hurryA
And chased them down the wayB
While the mother tree laughed loud in gleeA
For she thought her babes at playB
The cruel wind and the rain laughed loudlyA
We'll bury them deep they saidC
And the old tree grieves and the little leavesD
Lie low all chilled and deadC
