Summer In The South Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFGHEIE

The Oriole sings in the greening groveA
As if he were half way waitingB
The rosebuds peep from their hoods of greenC
Timid and hesitatingB
The rain comes down in a torrent sweepD
And the nights smell warm and pinetyE
The garden thrives but the tender shootsF
Are yellow green and tinyG
Then a flash of sun on a waiting hillH
Streams laugh that erst were quietE
The sky smiles down with a dazzling blueI
And the woods run mad with riotE
