Premonition Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABAA ACACAA ADADAA ACACAA

Dear heart good nightA
Nay list awhile that sweet voice singingB
When the world is all so brightA
And the sound of song sets the heart a ringingB
Oh love it is not rightA
Not then to say Good nightA
-
Dear heart good nightA
The late winds in the lake weeds shiverC
And the spray flies cold and whiteA
And the voice that sings gives a telltale quiverC
Ah yes the world is brightA
But dearest heart good nightA
-
Dear heart good nightA
And do not longer seek to hold meD
For my soul is in affrightA
As the fearful glooms in their pall enfold meD
See him who sang how whiteA
And still so dear good nightA
-
Dear heart good nightA
Thy hand I 'll press no more foreverC
And mine eyes shall lose the lightA
For the great white wraith by the winding riverC
Shall check my steps with mightA
So dear good night good nightA
