Love's Chastening Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCAC

Once Love grew bold and arrogant of airA
Proud of the youth that made him fresh and fairA
So unto Grief he spake What right hast thouB
To part or parcel of this heart Grief's browB
Was darkened with the storm of inward strifeC
Thrice smote he Love as only he might dareA
And Love pride purged was chastened all his lifeC
