In Summer Time Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFFGGGGHHII JJKKBBLLMMBBNNOOPPQQ PPBBEE

When summer time has come and allA
The world is in the magic thrallA
Of perfumed airs that lull each senseB
To fits of drowsy indolenceB
When skies are deepest blue aboveC
And flow'rs aflush then most I loveC
To start while early dews are dampD
And wend my way in woodland trampD
Where forests rustle tree on treeE
And sing their silent songs to meE
Where pathways meet and path ways partF
To walk with Nature heart by heartF
Till wearied out at last I lieG
Where some sweet stream steals singing byG
A mossy bank where violets vieG
In color with the summer skyG
Or take my rod and line and hookH
And wander to some darkling brookH
Where all day long the willows dreamI
And idly droop to kiss the streamI
And there to loll from morn till nightJ
Unheeding nibble run or biteJ
Just for the joy of being thereK
And drinking in the summer airK
The summer sounds and summer sightsB
That set a restless mind to rightsB
When grief and pain and raging doubtL
Of men and creeds have worn it outL
The birds' song and the water's droneM
The humming bees' low monotoneM
The murmur of the passing breezeB
And all the sounds akin to theseB
That make a man in summer timeN
Feel only fit for rest and rhymeN
Joy springs all radiant in my breastO
Though pauper poor than king more blestO
The tide beats in my soul so strongP
That happiness breaks forth in songP
And rings aloud the welkin blueQ
With all the songs I ever knewQ
O time of rapture time of songP
How swiftly glide thy days alongP
Adown the current of the yearsB
Above the rocks of grief and tearsB
'Tis wealth enough of joy for meE
In summer time to simply beE
