He Had His Dream Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEE FFGGHHIIEE

He had his dream and all through lifeA
Worked up to it through toil and strifeA
Afloat fore'er before his eyesB
It colored for him all his skiesB
The storm cloud darkC
Above his barkC
The calm and listless vault of blueD
Took on its hopeful hueD
It tinctured every passing beamE
He had his dreamE
-
He labored hard and failed at lastF
His sails too weak to bear the blastF
The raging tempests tore awayG
And sent his beating bark astrayG
But what cared heH
For wind or seaH
He said The tempest will be shortI
My bark will come to portI
He saw through every cloud a gleamE
He had his dreamE
