A Lyric Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDE FFGG HHII JJKK LLGG

My lady love lives far awayA
And oh my heart is sad by dayA
And ah my tears fall fast by nightB
What may I do in such a plightB
-
Why miles grow few when love is fleetC
And love you know hath flying feetC
Break off thy sighs and witness thisD
How poor a thing mere distance isE
-
My love knows not I love her soF
And would she scorn me did she knowF
How may the tale I would impartG
Attract her ear and storm her heartG
-
Calm thou the tempest in my breastH
Who loves in silence loves the bestH
But bide thy time she will awakeI
No night so dark but morn will breakI
-
But though my heart so strongly yearnJ
My lady loves me not in turnJ
How may I win the blest replyK
That my void heart shall satisfyK
-
Love breedeth love be thou but trueL
And soon thy love shall love thee tooL
If Fate hath meant you heart for heartG
There's naught may keep you twain apartG
