Uncle John he makes me tiredA
Thinks 'at he's jest so all firedA
Smart 'at he kin pick up soB
Ever'thing he wants to knowB
Tried to ketch me up last nightC
But you bet I would n't biteC
I jest kep' the smoothes' faceD
But I led him sich a chaseD
Could n't corner me you betE
I skipped all the traps he setE
Makin' out he wan'ed to knowB
Who was this an' that girl's beauB
So 's he 'd find out don't you seeF
Who was goin' 'long with meF
But I answers jest ez slyG
An' I never winks my eyeG
Tell he hollers with a whirlH
Look here ain't you got a girlH
Y' ought 'o seen me spread my eyesI
Like he 'd took me by surpriseI
An' I said Oh Uncle JohnJ
Never thought o' havin' oneK
An' somehow that seemed to tickleL
Him an' he shelled out a nickelL
Then you ought to seen me leaveM
Jest a laffin' in my sleeveM
Fool him well I guess I didN
He ain't on to this here kidN
Got a girl well I guess yesO
Got a dozen more or lessO
But I got one reely oneK
Not no foolin' ner no funK
Fur I 'm sweet on her you seeF
An' I ruther guess 'at sheF
Must be kinder sweet on meF
So we 're keepin' companyF
Honest Injun this is trueP
Ever' word I 'm tellin' youP
But you won't be sich a scabQ
Ez to run aroun' an' blabQ
Mebbe 't ain't the way with youP
But you know some fellers doP
Spoils a girl to let her knowB
'At you talk about her soB
Don't you know her her name 's LizR
Nicest girl in town she isR
Purty ah git out you gillyF
Liz 'ud purt 'nigh knock you sillyF
Y' ought 'o see her when she 's dressedS
All up in her Sunday bestS
All the fellers nudgin' meF
An' a whisperin' gemuneeB
Betcher life 'at I feel proudT
When she passes by the crowdT
'T 's kinder nice to be a goin'B
With a girl 'at makes some showin'B
One you know 'at hain't no snideU
Makes you feel so satisfiedU
An' I 'll tell you she 's a trumpV
Never even seen her jumpV
Like some silly girls 'ud doP
When I 'd hide and holler BooP
She 'd jest laff an' say Git outW
What you hollerin' aboutW
When some girls 'ud have a fitX
That 'un don't git skeered a bitX
Never makes a bit o' rowB
When she sees a worm er cowY
Them kind 's few an' far betweenB
Bravest girl I ever seenB
Tell you 'nuther thing she 'll doP
Mebbe you won't think it 's trueP
But if she 's jest got a dimeZ
She 'll go halvers ever' timeZ
Ah you goose you need n't laffA2
That's the kinder girl to haveB2
If you knowed her like I doP
Guess you 'd kinder like her tooP
Tell you somep'n' if you 'll swearC2
You won't tell it anywhereC2
Oh you got to cross yer heartD2
Earnest truly 'fore I startD2
Well one day I kissed her cheekE2
Gee but I felt cheap an' weakE2
'Cause at first she kinder flaredF2
'N' gracious goodness I was scaredF2
But I need n't been fer laG2
Why she never told her maG2
